Lovely big house with spectacular views over South Bay as well as the snow on the mountains. We were lucky enough to have front row seats watching a particularly cold southerly blast come through Kaikoura while sitting by the warm, cosy fire. Luckily for us, the weather changed the following days so we could fully enjoy the Kaikoura Trotting Cup. The house is an easy walk down to the racecourse. There are also other wonderful walking/ biking trails close by. A perfect house for a group of friends or 2 families staying together. Lots of room outside for kids to play and heaps of parking for boats and cars. We loved the feel of the bach. It is so refreshing to stay in a bach that is not too modern and sterile.

Although the views were not as fabulous as advertised, this cottage was in a great location - close to town, whale-watching visitor centre / pick-up point, and supermarket. Inside, it was clean and modern. On a cold winter’s day, the heat pump kept the place sufficiently warm for a family just arrived from the tropics. The hosts offered a well stocked fridge, and had boxed tissues all around, a thoughtful and much appreciated amenity. We enjoyed our stay here!

An unassuming house with a spotlessly clean and modern interior. The beds were very comfy, as was the furniture in the lounge. Booking.com hadn't sent the key safe code through, but the contact number was promptly answered and we were in! Good enough to make me sorry we were only staying for 1 night, so if you were going to use it as a base for various trips out you'd be very happy. Don't miss the view of the mountains from the back garden, either. The only annoying things were 1. that the TV had some sort of commentary thing switched on (and that was unlikely to have been set by the owners) that we couldn't work out how to turn it off and 2. There was no bedside light (which really is a 1st world problem - just walk across the plush carpet back to your bed).

What a fabulous stay, everything was perfect! Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Tuti and Peter who are superb hosts. The villa was quiet, private, clean, spacious and very comfortable. All rooms are presented to a very high standard with a touch of luxury. This place has been thoughtfully setup, it had everything we needed for our stay and more we were very impressed! Loads of amenities, toiletry items, cooking supplies, variety of board games, books and DVDs, they truly have thought of everything! We were very fortunate with the weather during our stay as well, the view of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking and did not disappoint. Thank you Peter and Tuti for your lovely hospitality, for going above and beyond. We hope that we will be lucky enough to come back to your slice of paradise in the future.

Exceptional Villa, fantastic views, the main bedroom was huge it was so nicely furnished as was the whole villa, one of the hosts Peter was very friendly and helpful . Anyway it was one of the most comfortable places we have ever stayed at anywhere.
