Villas in Yala

Very hospitable. Great location. Very accommodating

This is the most fantastic place built around the trees and natural habitat on the outskirts of Yala national park. Everything was provided, the food was incredible and we were given a trip to the fishing village on the beach for sunset in their buggy with Suraj and Tilina. It was like a mini safari. We saw crocodiles, deer, tortoises wild boar and on the beach the boys showed us where the elephants had been earlier in the day, footprints still showing in the sand. Suraj and Tilina were both young but so knowledgeable and friendly. They provided us breakfast at 4am for our Yala safari and we can't thank them, and the manager enough for making us so welcome. Will definitely stay again if we return to Sri Lanka.

Calm, far from the road, staff was polite and the food they prepared was awesome. Also the pool is nice.

Mayur's open Villa allows for the jungle breeze to flow through its beautifully appointed spaces. Being there is incredibly soothing and the open plan living area blends the outdoor-indoor dynamic seamlessly. The garden is full of birds and a couple of resident peacocks keep an eye on you for good measure ;) The food balances punchy flavours with delicate precision; it is wholesome and blends eastern and western influences through creative and thoughtful menus. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are signature Nyne. Safari's were highlighted by thoughtful touches like being given a pair of Mayur Lodge's own binoculars for our use was standard. And the epic picnic baskets that we got for our safaris! Warm butter cake, sandwiches, and flasks of hot tea and coffee and chilled water add a touch of sophistication to Yala's safari excitement. The staff were also extremely accommodating and went out of their way with kids meals and customising our menus for dietary preferences. The icing on the cake was the complimentary car wash at the end of our stay! The perfect sensory reset - calming visuals of unique Nyne design, the sound of birds, the feel of the breeze, beautiful flavours, and the smell of the jungle - especially after a bit of rain. Pure magic :)

Ciao! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Makini Bush Camp and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The camp's location in the midst of the Yala wilderness was absolutely breathtaking. As an traveler who loves nature and adventure, Makini was perfect for me. The tented chalets were very comfortable and the private plunge pool was just what I needed to relax after a long day of exploring. The food was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan dishes served at the camp. But what we loved most about Makini was the experiences they offered. The guided safaris were amazing, and I was lucky enough to see some rare bird species, as well as elephants and leopards in their natural habitat. The staff at Makini were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to ensure that we had a memorable and enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend Makini Bush Camp to anyone looking for a unique and authentic nature experience. Grazie mille, Makini, for an amazing adventure!

The facility is of a very high standard. Cleanliness top! Taking care of customer satisfaction is the main message for all staff. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The pool was very clean and loved by the children. Additionally, there are no crowds of guests, so you can relax after a very early safari. The safari organized by Wild Lotus (Nelson guide) was also of a high standard. Thanks to fast track, we were the first car to enter Yala Park and after 10 minutes we saw a leopard in a tree watching a herd of buffaloes. The other cars behind were not so lucky. We highly recommend this hotel

It is the most beautiful beach I saw in my life. The owner Thussi helped in all posibld ways, answered all my questions in minutes. Food was so hig and tasty!! Savd us a lot of money with his sugestions. We already planning to come back :) The manager that takes care of the place is extraofinary person!
