I initially planned to stay for a week but ended up staying a month—this place felt like home. Bhanuka and his family went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, always ensuring I had everything I needed. The WiFi was excellent, allowing me to work remotely without any issues, even during video calls, and I could easily connect my laptop to the TV via HDMI. One of the highlights was the breakfast—every morning, Bhanuka’s mom prepared a different and delicious Sri Lankan meal, making each day a unique culinary experience. If you're looking for a welcoming place with great hospitality and reliable amenities, this is it. Highly recommended!

We had a truly phenomenal time staying here. In all my travels, Ruwan must be the best host that I have ever come across. He helped us with all aspects of our stay in Mirissa, including organising a scooter for our time here. The room was super comfy with fan and AC, and Ruwan kept the fridge stocked so that we always had cold water. The breakfasts were delicious, and we also highly recommend the kottu for dinner. The location is also great - nice and quiet surrounded by trees, and only a short walk to the beach and coconut tree hill. Don’t hesitate just book!

Beautiful and cozy wooden house. It has all the necessary amenities that you will need. Except a TV and AC, everything is there. It is well furnished. Has a huge bathroom, a small fridge where you can keep food or beer. The bed is huge and will accommodate 2 people comfortably and still there will be space for another person. There is a balcony too where you can sit in the open and enjoy. It's clean spacious and very close to the beach with easy accessibility to nearby restaurants and shops. There is also a grocery store right next to the house where you can buy daily groceries and also get your mobile recharged anytime you want. I had a great stay here with the hosts accommodating my needs whenever I required. If you want food they will also arrange for that however you have to inform the owner beforehand. At night there are some noises of the wood creaking, which was a little creepy but it's due to the structure of the house made on top. I would recommend every traveller wanting to stay in Mirrisa to go for this room as you will love the stay.

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! We were a group of 5 and we LOVED it. I travel a lot but I will remember these hosts forever - truly good-hearted, super helpful and kind. We thought the location was really nice and quiet, a few smiley neighbors on the way too, surrounded by beautiful nature. Great breakfast included, nice and super spacious, impeccable clean and overall a super nice stay. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure :)

I loved how peaceful and nature-filled the entire place was. The garden, the fruit trees, and the lotus pond made it feel like a calm retreat, even though it’s just a short walk from the centre of Ahangama. The family who runs the homestay is incredibly warm and welcoming. They took the time to show me around the garden, explain how they use coconuts in daily life, and even opened one fresh for me. The room was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, and had a private entrance which made the stay feel very relaxed. The WiFi was strong, and the outdoor seating areas were perfect for working or just enjoying the quiet. It’s a beautiful, authentic homestay experience.
