The food was out of this world and the host teaches you how to prepare traditional meals with fresh ingredients from their garden. House is only about 15min by bus from the city center, place is calm and there is a lot of birds around. The owner helped us when my fiance was sick, great hospitality :) Breakfast is good with beautiful view on the river below house. During our 3 weeks trip in Sri Lanka that was the only one room with fridge and iron inside!

You will be lost in the forest after 15 minutes drive from Kandy. You will see the mountains, you will hear the birds when you wake up. The hotel provided an extra bad for our daughter - nice. The ambience and welcome were in colonial tradition. We had the 7 course dinner which was good after a relaxing day at the pool. Women in traditional dresses were collecting tea leaves from a small tea plantation in front of our chalet.

This pristine two-story house is very spacious with a flight of stairs leading to the bath, bedroom and sitting area. The ceiling fan was adequate on most nights. The bedding is very clean and the bed comfortable. The large kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare meals. The location is in the town of Kundasale, a quiet, residential area, about a 20 minute drive to Kandy, depending on the traffic. There are an assortment of shops and restaurants about a 10-minute walk from the house. There are tuk tuk transport drivers available near the main road. Buddhi is the consummate host taking great care in giving excellent recommendations in Kandy and Kundasale. You'll be safe and in good hands at Liv House. I highly recommend this property.
