This was my favorite stay in Sri Lanka during my nearly two-month journey across the country. From the warmth of the hosts, Maduranga and his wife, to the tranquil and beautiful cottage, and the incredibly generous and delicious breakfast, Astral Zone is a must-book for your stay in Ella. Situated just 10 minutes away from Ella city, it offers a peaceful retreat in a quiet village. Key landmarks such as Ella's Rock and waterfalls are within walking distance. We even embarked on a sunrise hike to Ella Rock with Maduranga's guide friend, Shashi, who was excellent. It's advisable to coordinate tuk-tuk pickups and drop-offs with Maduranga for fair prices. Additionally, don't miss the cooking classes led by his wife; we had a fantastic time learning to make authentic Sri Lankan food in their kitchen. Overall, the hospitality of Maduranga and his family is what sets this spot apart. I can't wait to return here again.

Priyanka is an awesome kind and caring host! She served us a delicious breakfast in the morning and also the day of the departure she woke up at 5 to cook an early takeaway breakfast for us💕. Her husband drove us to the train station, that was so kind. Priyanka arranged for us a great excursion to the tea factory and 2 astonishing waterfalls. Excellent hospitality and care! The room is in the homestay and has necessary goodies ( shampoos, soap, tea coffee). The homestay offers a fantastic view from the room. It's also very close to the Little Adams peak and ravana zip line. It's a bit far from the town centre but we loved walking 😍 to it. Around 20 mins.

It’s a well made and maintained cabin with two stories. All the facilities are available. Tasty homemade food was served to your room. Host is also nice and responsive. Staff also very helpful. We should have stayed more.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was top-notch—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the bedding to the amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and comfort. It felt more like a home away from home than just a hotel rooms.definitely we will back.

This accommodation was stunning. The room over looks the forest, it is so peaceful and beautiful, we liked that it was a little out of the busy loud town. It was only a short walk down the train tracks to town anyways. The family was so sweet and so accomodating. The breakfast was also the best weve had the whole trip. We wish we’d stayed longer. Definitely recommend this place to everyone, its beautiful.

Amazing place, thanks to Lal property manager for all the help and for the exceptional service highly recommended, its close to Ella but away from too many tourists. There is a tv with English movies, washing machine and cooking facilities we had a great time and would stay again, thanks Lal!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa! The property was clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The location was peaceful and scenic, making it perfect for unwinding. This place really blew our mind ! at start we didn't know we had to hike down the place to reach the room , quite scared at first but when we saw the view my God !! everything was just worth it ! The host ,the family were the sweetest , we stayed there for 3 days and we felt we were staying with a family. On our second day the pipeline broke due to sand erosion but the family late at night fixed it up by themselves. This you don't even see in any 5 star hotels. Tuk tusk would climb up the hill to reach us to our room and were easily available. Go to this place if you are looking for adventure and peace, if you are someone who loves luxury this place isn't for you. But it's one of a kind experience. You also need to be physically fit to climb up and down to the room and also carry some salt or Leech repellents since there are leeches since its closer to the waterfall.

My wife and I stayed for two weeks in Kapi's beautiful accommodation, it is a simple place, small but very special both for the nature that surrounds it, as well as for its kind, respectful and prodigious cook host, we recommend this place if you want to spend a few days disconnected from the chaotic and touristic centre of Ella. Kapi can accompany you to do some routes as he knows the territory very well, he is always ready to help you with whatever you need, every day he cooks with fresh food and always has a smile on his face. We are very happy to have spent a few days in your accommodation and hope to come back next year.

Gorgeous cabins just outside Ella town for an excellent price. Staff and owner are amazing and so kind - they catered to our every need and took good care of us. The views are stunning, the cabins have every luxury you need (including Netflix!) and we loved the private pool and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was also delicious!
