Villa 42 is, in short a hidden gem. For anyone looking for comfort, privacy and wonderful hospitality they won't get any better than this lovely villa just half a mile or so from gorgeous (mostly empty) beaches and several decent restaurants (ask Siri for recommendations). Siri will provide his pampered guests with the best of breakfasts adapting tp personal taste (Sri Lankan style or to more western taste). Siri's well maintained swimming pool will be your refreshing reward after a few hours of Sri Lankan heat.

We spent one night at the Black Monkey Villa in mid-September and felt completely at home. The accommodation is tastefully and functionally furnished - the air conditioning, hairdryer and fridge are in mint condition and worked perfectly. The beds are very comfortable and the covered outdoor area invites you to enjoy the beautiful view of the greenery even when it rains. The shower was a real highlight - by far the best we experienced during our stay in Sri Lanka. We were able to relax wonderfully and would definitely come back on our next visit to Sri Lanka!

Host (Manager and Owner) was exceptional. He responded to messages within minutes and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Villa was extremely large, modern and spotlessly clean. All equipment worked, we had access to the kitchen and also a washing machine. There were drinks and snacks in the fridge, tea and coffee available and even laundry powder for the washing machine. The host is a professional chef and went out of his way to provide top class meals. The three course dinner for USD $7.00 was excellent.
