The cottage had everything we wanted and needed, so did the grounds and service provided. The property had washing machines with detergent and vending machines with snacks, heatable meals and drinks. Our room was clean and well-equipped with a little kitchen, nice toilet and a tv. The porch had a nice relaxing area with a bench and even a hammock you can hang up yourself. The owner is very conscientious and considerate, he’s thought of everything! There’s even a massager in the room if you are hiking as well as a foldable drying rack (with a place to hang it). He also helped us to book a car last minute and is always very responsive even when not around on the property. Highly recommend. :)

It was a great pleasure to stay at the place. The barbecue option is a find! It made our stay unforgettable. The beds were very comfortable, house is spotless, kitchen is functional. Everything! It's a lovely holiday chalet with lots of space and excellent facilities. We stayed here two nights but would have been happy to stay longer. You probably need a car if you stay. And you need to be prepared to be surrounded by the sounds of nature! I love frogs!! The owner was really friendly and gave lots of helpful advice.

It’s big, it’s beautiful, totally in wood, it’s spacious, it’s sort of isolated but yet walking distance from the onsen and a really good restaurant! The owner is very responsive and has been helping us prepare the trip from the day of the booking months before we arrive, answering our questions about the ferries, car rental, weather, etc. I was there with a friend d and would love to return with the family; my kids and wife would love it 🥰

This is the most beautiful cottage, giving a real sense of tranquility in the stunning Yakushima. It felt like a home away from home, and the hosts are so warm and welcoming. You can feel how much thought and time has gone into making this cottage as special as it is. I was in Yakushima to reunite with a friend, and this was such a lovely setting to return to after our daily adventures around the island. This must be the best place to stay on Yakushima - the garden is as beautifully kept as the cottage. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
