There was a sudden heavy snow and our car was stuck in the snow. Our arrival time turned out to be almost 12am, we have messaged and informed the host, she was really kind, she stayed up and waited for us. She helped us to call the car rental service to make alternate arrangements and suggested safer routes for us to go Shirakawago the next day and route to return to Tokyo. House was spacious and clean, especially recommend for families.

Everything. Seriously, everything! The house is absolutely beautiful. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. And it was spotless — perfectly clean. We loved every detail. The rooms are spacious and bright. Every little thing in the kitchen and bathroom has been thoughtfully considered. The location is amazing — just a short walk from the old town. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I visit Takayama. Honestly, I’d come back to Takayama just to stay here again!

This was one of the best places we (family, 2 adults and one kid) have stayed during our 3-week trip through Japan! We had the whole house for ourselves. Communication with the owner was quick and friendly. The house has everything you can think of. Location is in a quiet part of town, parking no problem. Approx. 15-20 min. (pleasant) walk to the centre of town. Two smaller restaurants nearby. We enjoyed staying in a non-touristy neighborhood. Highly recommended!

The place was amazing. Was so spacious and all the little details were thought of including little treats on arrival and toys and blocks which our baby loved to play with. It was warm and inviting and the sauna and onsen were lovely to use. Location could not have been better.
