No food served at the placed but this was clearly communicate up-front. The kitchen facilities are excellents and great selectrions of coffee and tea are provided. The room was beyound expectation - traditional Japanese in every littel details. You need your own car (or taxi) to get there and you do not need to worry about crossing the submersible bridge; it is part of a wonderful experience.

Probably one of the best places we have ever stayed at in Japan! A 130 year old house redone with great attention to detail. Extremely comfortable. Away from the hustle and bustle of cities and towns. Would have liked to stay longer!

Beautiful home in quiet area of Shimanto, just a few minutes from the river! We didn’t have a car but had bicycles, which took us about 50 minutes from the city and closest shops! The owners were very responsive on message and made for a completely hassle free stay!

We really enjoyed staying here. The house is extremely modern and beautiful. It was great for our large group. All the facilities were great. It was a very comfortable stay. Everything was great an explained very well, so the hotel was easy to find even though it is an a somewhat remote location. Communication with the host also went very smoothly.
