We had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home—our whole family really enjoyed it. We especially loved being able to enjoy the hot spring right where we were staying; it was such a special experience. The staff were also kind enough to help us book a local dinner that is usually hard to reserve — we truly appreciated it. We hope you continue to maintain this great service. The hotel is clean and tidy as a whole. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, electric water heater, many charging ports, and the washer and dryer is also very easy to use. They also give free hot spring tickets (a great experience in the public bathhouse) and provide us with welcome drinks, which is very thoughtful!

We had the whole house (2 bedrooms) to ourselves. We were a family of 4 adults, one 4 year old toddler and a 7 months baby so there were enough bedding for all of us. The host Sakura was very gracious and kind and allowed us to check in a bit earlier than 3 pm. When we arrived at the house, she was already waiting for us to pass us the key. She then quickly briefed us on the house. The whole place was very keen - and had everything of the comforts of a home away from home. The onsen is outside the house (but within the same compound but no issue). The car park is just outside the house and Beppu Park is nearby. The host Sakura was very prompt when responding to our endless questions in very good English and made very good recommendations for sushi, yakiniku and tempura bowl. We went to all 3 of them and thoroughly enjoyed the food. She even helped us make a reservation for the yakiniku restaurant as it was very difficult to book (always fully booked when we tried to book online). The house had a very nice garden to chill and relax and good for photos as well. One of the bedrooms had a collection of kimonos for adults and kids and we brought them to a park and took lots of photos wearing her kimonos. This is an excellent extra touch of Japanese hospitality. We didnt have time otherwise would have taken some photos with the kimonos in her beautiful garden. I will stay in this accommodation again if I come back to Beppu. We loved it.

I loved the atmosphere of the city, the tiny castle, the good restaurants. I didn't have much time so I hope to come back next year and wear kimono ! I enjoyed the feeling of being at home in the guesthouse with the little garden in the back. It's very neat. And the owner of the guesthouse is incredibly nice.
