Moon Hakone was one of my favourite places on my travels throughout Japan. Just far enough out of the city to feel in utter bliss. The sauna and tub are a great way to start the day along with the camp fire on a still evening. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the hosts are very communicative and helpful. The attention to detail here was perfect. It had all of the essential amenities. It was clean and looked really nice and modern. We travelled as a family of 3 and the space there was perfect. A great location from Hakone-Yumoto station to do the Hakone Loop. There's a lovely restaurant down the road called Daichan. There's also a 7 Eleven across the road.

Fantastic location and plenty of space. We arrived in the middle of a storm, with landslide warnings and notifications to prepare for evacuation, which was a bit concerning for us. However the host was really responsive and reassuring around what to do.
