The hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood that allows you to enjoy some tranquility and away from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions and busy streets. The hotel is also just a few minutes walk away from the Marutamachi underground station. The hotel staff were attentive, warm and very helpful. Staying here made me feel completely at home. The apartment is well maintained and captures the traditional features beautifully. The lounge is also a great place to unwind and fuel after a busy day of sightseeing with the variety of snacks they offer. Would definitely coming back to stay here again when I visit Kyoto.

Lovely small well equipped apartment in a quite residential area of Kyoto but with good transport links (bus stop and Higashiyama station around the corner, walking distance to Sanjo station, the canal and Gion). Super comfortable and clean with all the amenities for a short or even slightly longer stay (including washing machine). I loved the minimalist Japanese style of the apartment and it really felt like a home away from home. Very friendly owner/manager with guest house in short walking distance (she did not speak English but for me this is was not a problem and there is always google translator). Highly recommended for independent travellers who want a more local experience. Great for solo travellers or a couple. I absolutely loved it here and really hope I can stay again in the future!

The staff waited for us to arrive and assist us with check-in even though we forgot to update them on our arrival timing. The room itself was really nice and comfortable, facilities and heating was really good. Staff was very friendly and the interior design of the room was very traditionally Japanese.

Perfect home if you want a traditional style japanese experience. Dreamy mornings start with a hot cup of matcha, while you wear kimono pyjamas and socks which the host prepared for us (really nice touch). The location is a great starting point for your expedition to explore Kyoto.

The keys were to be collected from one of their main hotels that is closer tot the train station. It was an easy walk to the hotel from the station, even woth the luggage and once we reached the hotel and a hotel cab / vehicle was waiting to take us to Rinn Tsukinowa East. This was very convenient as the apartment is away from the train station in the old part. Very convenient and comfortable transfer. Old world charm, perfect location for stay if you wanna experience something old world and traditional. The Hōkan-ji Temple, just a minute walk. Kiyomizu-dera within walking distance again. The accommodation is super comfortable and as we went in peak winter the heating too was excellent. With two comfortable rooms upstairs, one with traditional Japenese Style bedding and the other with Twin beds. They even have extra beddings and uilts. Overall a great stay.

This is a beautiful 100 year old home that has been made into two townhouses/villas. It was very comfortable with two bedrooms and 2 toilets. The downstairs bathroom has one indoor and one outdoor private bathtub. The property manager came to provide an overview of the home, taught us how to make macha tea, and made sure we understood how to use the facilities in great English. She also made reservations for us for dinner and for getting cabs to take us to the train station the next morning.
