First of all, I start with the evaluation of the communication with the owner. In a word, excellent. Walter provided us in the most explicit way with all the necessary information. Before arriving at the property, he sent us videos of the way to the guesthouse, where to find the keys, how to light the stove, how to store household waste, etc. The location of the guesthouse was excellent for us. Close to the historic center, very close to the ferry boarding place, but at the same time in a very quiet location. A warning here for those who come especially to go to the beach. In this case, our advice would be to look for accommodation in Canneto. The guesthouse is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very chic and unusual furniture. We had a large and very pleasant yard, only ours. The view is absolutely amazing. The house is practically surrounded by windows on almost all sides. Although there are blinds, we warn here those who do not tolerate heat very well. The whole house consists of a bedroom with a bathroom and a huge closed terrace, which takes the place of the living room and kitchen. We really liked the idea. There is another outdoor terrace, but due to the excessive heat and humidity on the island, it can only be used in the evening.

This was my favourite stay in Sicily. I felt like I was living like a local as the area was not touristy. Fabulous coffee and croissants at the local cafe each morning - and the accommodation was very comfortable. Timber shutters on the doors/windows allowed for the best sleeps ever. The kitchen was well equipped and the deep porch was the dining and living area for us. If you love charm and an authentic Sicilian experience, then this is it.
