Great location, 15 minutes away from Borganes . The house is perfect, it has everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen allows you to cook with ease, with the addition of the outside covered barbecue for cooking steaks/ lamb etc without setting off any fire alarms. All the essentials salt, pepper, spices, coffee, kitchen roll , sugar, etc etc were provided, with toilet roll, conditioner, shampoo, hand wash , body wash, etc which was a lovely surprise! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the whole house is decorated to a high standard. The hot tub is a jet spa which we used daily after a long day out. It’s perfect. Having a cabin with bedroom and separate shower /wc means it’s also perfect for larger groups, as we were a party of 2 we had plenty of room. The house has great facilities for washing/ drying and has a large TV if you feel compelled on stormy nights to watch a bit of television. The icing on the cake is the location for northern lights, having a great 360 view without interruption means you’ve got the best chances. Out of 12 nights we luckily managed to see 10 nights/ mornings despite some very challenging weather in November. We didn’t need to drive out, we just happily sat wrapped up under the covered deck and waited for Aurora to appear. There is a main deck which has a sheltered covered area which is perfect, then a lower deck for the cabin, a base deck in the garden and to the side a grass garden area. Very nice garden furniture and a picnic table for warmer days! The road to the house is a little pitted in winter but nothing crazy just drive carefully. We tend to have 4X4 or AWD car in November as the roads to tend to wear in winter. The location is perfect for driving up the west coast and north. The host was lovely and very accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay at Lundur again and the other properties on the portfolio.

Beautiful place at a great location, it is very private and intimate. Plenty of room, a lot of kitchen supplies, and the hot tub and barbecue are amazing.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage in the remote woods of Borganes. The apartment is so serene & secluded, very clean. and We did not get the chance to use the hot tub. We enjoyed a clear view of the Northern Lights from the balcony of the cottage for a least an hour & took lots of photos. The host is very nice and helpful with all information and directions. We plan to come back to this area and stay at this cottage again. They have 3 bedrooms (2 in the ground floor and 1 on the attic), 1 bathroom, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and an outdoor hot tub. Totally well stocked & equipped and has everything we needed to cook family dinner.

Gorgeous modern home tucked into a lightly wooded region with excellent views. Excellent kitchen and appliances. Very clear instructions on use of the home. Hot tub was easy to use and well cared for. Excellent suggestions for local trips, resources, and sights to see.

First of all, I can't praise Bjarni enough: communication was smooth and he send clear instructions before our arrival, making sure we knew everything we needed. Secondly, the location is just stunning. You're isolated and completely surrounded by nature, a lovely and romantic escape from the city. Loved it. Last but not least, the actual accommodation. It was simply delightful. Equipped with everything you need, comfortable, beautiful view on the balcony over the area so when you're in the hot tub, you can get lost in the beauty of the landscape and the outside shower was absolutely incredible! Overall, a great stay. Made my birthday celebration more speciale.

Everything! The property was beautiful. The house was spacious and comfortable and impeccably decorated. The hot tub was also a much loved feature. The surroundings were incredible - peaceful, scenic. The host greeted us shortly after arrival and was very friendly, inviting us to also pick some vegetables from his greenhouse. The experience of our stay here was certainly one of my highlights of our entire Iceland trip.
