Uncle Google makes the place! There was a problem with our booking (the villa we booked was unavailable due to need for maintenance) and he promptly figured it out + prepared another villa for us. He guided us around the island and helped find the spot where you can dive to see the statues. He prepared a great breakfast (Google omelette and Google coffee 🔝) and and “to go” meal for us, and was very attentive to whatever we might need (bike, umbrella, flashlight, ferry tickets, mosquito tablets).

Villa Ottalia was its own little oasis, with lovely staff who were very helpful and friendly from arrival to departure. The restaurant onsite was great, we had several meals and drinks there and all were made with love. The pool was a great size and nice and clean and there were plenty of loungers to sit on. The rooms were well equipped with a kettle/fridge good air con . Wifi also worked well and free water refills were nice. We really enjoyed our stay here and could completely relax

We travelled with together as a family of 4 - myself and my wife and my daughter aged 11 and son aged 8. First of all I’d like to say that Iwan was amazing. He looked after us like family and made sure we had everything we needed. He made her trip so so special and we will definitely keep in touch with him. He helped to organise everything including sharp knives when I bought a watermelon and there were none at the property. Nothing was too much. There is lots of fun stuff to do on the island. While we were there Iwan organised it all for us and got us a great price for everything - boat trip snorkeling - boat trip snorkelling and fishing - Iwan’s cousin then prepared and cooked the fish at her lovely restaurant and it was delicious - horse riding around the island - we also hired bikes and ride around the island which was great fun Iwan also organised our return boat trip to Bali including smaller boat from outside our property to Gili t port We swam with turtles and saw amazing fish. Everyone on the island is lovely and friendly and the pace is laid back and super chilled. The sea isn’t really suitable for swimming as you need to wear reef shoes or fin as we were warned about the sea urchins. Plus there is rock and coral surrounding the island. The you can actually wade out to see the statues from above outside Bask which is about a 15 mins walk from the villa. There are lots of nice restaurants all up the west side of the island. You are spoilt for choice! And all budgets are catered for. The property was massive and absolutely lovely. It had 4 bedrooms all with ensuite (three with showers and one with a lovely bath). Each room is lockable with a separate key from the inside and outside. It felt really safe and secure. The front gate is secured but a chain and padlock. All bedrooms have big beds that are super comfy and great air con. They also have mosquito nets.
