My wife and I visited Sweet Retreat as a base to visit the Southern Great Barrier Reef whilst we were up in Bundaberg. The home is in a beautiful setting with amazing sunsets over the cane fields and loads of kangaroos hopping about at dawn and dusk. At night we loved lighting the fire and watching the stars. Louise was a fantastic host, who gave us lots of tips about Bundaberg, kept the home very clean and even gave us some fresh lemonade made from fruit from the garden.

I did LOVE the location But I couldn’t swim off the beach even though it was advertised as a waterfront location Absolute waterfront ! It would have been good to know that the swimming beach was not right there I still enjoyed my stay and hsve re booked

So nicely styled and well equiped and it was just wonderful we could have our dog. Most pet friendly places are so distrusting and uncomfortable but it was so lovely to read you consider them family just like us.
