Alishan B&B YunMinGi has an one-level traditional lovely Taiwanese house and a beautiful contemporary 5-story building, both are connected by a short walkway. There is a fruit garden next to our guest house. The balconies in the new building overlook a sea of clouds and mountains. Both house and building are encircled by a lovely tea plantation. We had a wonderful two-night stay! The staff were incredibly caring, proactive, and spoke excellent English. Communication was smooth – they reached out in advance to offer a transfer for an extra fee, asked if we needed dinner, and even sent a map. The location is up in the mountains, about a 40-minute walk from the bus stop, but right by all the famous trails that people come to Alishan for. It's remote but stunningly beautiful. Our room had large panoramic windows, a balcony, and access to the rooftop. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. One day we had sunny weather, and the next it rained and was misty – both created a very special atmosphere. Thank you and highly recommend!

Very professional, helpful and thoughtful management from all staff members and employees connected to the hotel. I am very grateful for everything they did to contribute to my magical stay in the Alishan Township area. Gau Shan Ching also provided the base location for my flawless hike up Yushan in perfect weather and return for rest and relaxation before eventual departure.
