This Ryokan though small in size provides the homely feel. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were both excellent. We enjoyed it very much.The public bath was nicely decorated too. The owners of the Ryokan definitely placed a lot of efforts to it's design, decorations etc. My husband and I wished we were staying another night instead of our overnight stay. We will return.

It features free in-room wired internet and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. For our itinerary, this place was perfect. We planned to use Yamagata as a base to see Zao, Ginzan, and Yamadera. This hotel is attached to the Yamagata station, which is the central place to start the journey to any of these places. Other than that, the hotel is pretty standard for Japan. It's clean, lots of toiletries offered, and friendly staff.
