Lovely place about a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.

The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!
