We booked the annex accommodation with private onsen, the room was amazing and just 30 sec from main building for even more intimacy. The staff is super kind and full of attention for us, they delivered my luggage to my room once it has been delivered and they were always helpful with anything and always smiling. They even offered to take a picture of us at the check out before we left on their beautiful terrace. The restaurant where we have the breakfast is small so you can enjoy quietly your delicious traditional Japanese breakfast, we had 2 different breakfast for for 2 days we stayed. And aln of it just in front of the wonderful view of Yufu mountain.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and cheerful. The front desk staff changed the channel on the lobby wide screen television, so we could watch the American World Series! They also let us know the channel to access the game on our room televisions. The rooms were small but enough for us to relax in and with a view of the ocean. Breakfast was exceptional and we enjoyed some of the daring combinations.

A definite top 5 for me. We got the room with a private one and it was simply so amazing to have that within seconds of your room. Also it felt like the water in the private in room onsens had much more minerals than the large one but the large one is well worth a stay too as it feels so free to be the only one there and gazing upon the mountains as you bathe.

The staff members were very gracious, the meals were amazing, and the accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. We loved our private onsen. We can't rave enough about Ryokan Fukinoya, definitely a highlight of our trip!

Free private parking is available on site. This hotel was wonderful! The veiw from the room was beautiful. The yukata fit me even tho I'm a bit plus sized. We both loved the on site onsen. We were able to walk to the Yufuin shopping area in less than 10min. The staff were so kind, I actually had a medical emergency in the middle of the night and the staff helped us call an ambulance and waited around to help us talk to the emts. Despite the medical issues our stay here made the trip wonderful!

The food was the best food we have ever eaten and the staff and service were superb! I can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re in Japan and want a truly authentic experience stay here.

SEKIYA RESORT Terrace Midoubaru is located a 15-minute drive from JR Beppu Station and boasts guestrooms with a semi open-air bath. Guests can soak in the hot spring bath. Private parking is available for an additional fee. They had a warm welcome and informative introduction to the facilities. The room was also clean and fully equipped with amenities. The view from our room was magnificent and it was surprisingly quiet even though we were near the restaurant. The breakfast (additional service) was sumptuous and we were glad we had ordered it for all three days. The personal in-room onsen was easy to figure out and was definitely the highlight of the stay! Staff were also friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out.
