Each accommodation at the 3-star ryokan has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a public bath and an open-air bath. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. How does one describe perfection in the way of writing? This will be a long review, but Yoshinosou Yukawaya deserves it. My communication with Young Master Yamamoto-san, the proprietor of the ryokan, began 6 months in advance when I made the booking. He was prompt, courteous, and extremely professional with his replies. Our face to face meeting only solidified that he runs an extremely professional, immaculate establishment. The room exceeded any expectations we had. Yes, it was expensive, and here I will be honest in saying that the price matched the delivery. Comfy beds, gleaming tables and please do not get me started on the views. To be given our own personal outdoor bath overlooking the mountain range with the autumn foliage, will be a memory I cherish until I am no longer of this world. Dinner was a full-fledged Japanese dinner course. What's sublime about the ryokan is, it does not pretend to be something it isn't. The food served reflects the geography of the place. One of the highlights was the sushi that was wrapped in the persimmon leaves, and also the layered dried persimmon with butter. Persimmon trees are scattered across Yoshino-yama and it carries through in the food they serve. We had a good time giggling with the hotel staffs who were serving us; as they took sweet amusement at seeing us gush over the meals that were being served. It was an exquisite yet humbling experience - to be able to experience something so far removed from my own culture. The staff members were kind, accommodating and extremely helpful when we had questions about the place. Not once did we feel unwelcome, and it was truly the highlight of my trip to Japan. My friend and I both agree that if we do come to Japan in the future, Yoshinosou Yukawaya is definitely a place worth visiting again. How amazing that just single night's stay in this establishment could etch into my mind a memory that is unforgettable.

Very cheap price for a double bed room with a private bathroom - check in and check out are extremely no-fuss, you just walk in and out. Room was actually bigger than the last budget hotel we stayed at. Very short walk from the station, great food places within walking distance too.
Great location and good price
Japan's Share hotels offer a very nice standardized hotel experience, as you know, what you will get. Good location between the park and city center.
Great central location - very close when coming from the train station. It is also easy to walk to city center and the sights there.
The building was old and had a great charme. The location was great, not too far from the main attractions but not in the noisy city center (especially at night). 10min on foot to the nearest train station and 15/20min to Nara park. A lot of interesting attractions all around.
Location was ideal: adjacent to the JR Nara station, yet isolated from the hustle bustle. A well-appointed grocery store was nearby as was a Starbucks located in a historic building. Hotel was similar to other 3-Star accommodations in Japan; compact yet full of modern amenities. Property was recently rebranded as a Spa, yet I didn’t take advantage of low-cost public bathing facility. Having a separate laundromat with microwave and beverage machine were added bonuses. Room had a work desk. WiFi was robust.
Great budget stay in a good location for visiting Nara park and a few of the most popular sights
Great location in the middle of the park, very friendly staff, big room. Very good price!
Amazing location, a bit far from the city center, but that's exactly what I liked about it. The staff was really helpful, giving tips about the surroundings and the person who checked me in even spoke fluent english which was a first on my trip. Also, the building and room itself had a real cozy vibe to it, which was nice.
We loved Nara and this hotel in particular! Deer in front, nice garden, central location, great food, nicest service doing all for you to help, just take a bike, nice library, drinks for free all day ( incl best sake), etc. All in all, loved it, good price/quality, recommend!
