Good airconditioning (we went in summer), good bathroom and other facilities also great! It’s a bit out of the way, you definitely need a rental car, but it’s a lovely and quiet location! The sleeping area is Japanese style, just an FYI, but it added to the charm of the lodge. The hostess was a very kind woman who greeted us with information in our native language and a welcome snack. That was really nice.

Dinner in a private room for our party was delicious. The town is very convenient to the mountains and the rest of the Unzen part of the national park.
