The hotel is located far away from stores and supermarkt but it was worth it. When we arrived we receivied a guide with restaurants options, also they had snow tools for cleaning the car. The shower at the room was very nive and clean.

This 3-star ryokan offers ski storage space and a lift. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were great and very informative about the location and transport options etc. An absolute must stay if you are near the area. The food was incredible for breakfast and dinner, very traditional and gorgeous meat. The private baths are the best we went in, the fact they are private is a massive plus. We had the best time here; thank you to all the staff! It is also really close to the bus station to get to the Kamikochi Valley.

Minshuku Takizawa provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 29 km of Kamikochi and 30 km of Kappa Bridge. With an open-air bath, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The ryokan features mountain views and a picnic area. Everybody including the owners are so nice and helpful. They speak sufficient English to get along well. The Onsen baths are great, private use, the outside Onsen under the clear sky is a hit. Breakfast was phantastic, japanese style but followed by an excellent expresso coffee and a Panna Cotta at the end - can it be better? no! For good reason (the quality and freshness of the wonderful food) you are asked to make a reservation for dinner and/or breakfast. Though on the other side of the street is a small Cafe and Shop supplying everything you might need. It will probably difficult to get there with public transport - so coming by car is better. It is quite a bit away from everything. Therefore one of the trailheads to climb Mount Yakedake is just 1 km away from the Hotel.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. The property also provides free pick-up service from JR Takayama Station. Free shuttle bus service is available when check-in, check-out, after dinner. It was one of our best accomodation ever. The place was cozy, clean and very beautifully decorated. It really has a ryokan spirit, but recently renovated. The attention of Tai and his family was overwhelming, taking us and picking us up to and from downtown Takayama, giving us recommendations.. they even had a nice detail to prepare us a cake to celebrate our honeymoon. The japanese breakfast that they prepared for us was amazing.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. The property offers free WiFi access in rooms and in public areas including the shared TV lounge and the terrace. This is my 3rd visits to Takayama this year during different seasons and this trip is mainly as a base for visiting Kamikochi. I booked this inn away from city center to experience the hospitality of a small family-run inn and the dining experience with wine pairing. Auberge Hida no Mori didn't disappoint 🙏🤗

Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout. Incredibile experience! The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. Breakfast was really good. A recommended stay definitely.
