We stayed there for 10 nights and found it hard to leave.The service was fantastic, staff were attentive, friendly and went out of there way to make us feel welcome.Food was excellent and fairly priced. Beers were always cold. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and loved the special extra touches that they did in our rooms. Amazing beach at your doorstep and a fun wave out front.Thank you Sumba beach House staff for making our holiday a memorable one. Would not hesitate to visit again .Sam and Bondy 😀

Tambolaka Airport is 7 km away. This was a nice stay - interesting museum - organise a tour and donate as it’s not always open and I think it’s a private collection??? It’s very quiet and far from town so a scooter is recommended There is also a great cashew farm up the road within walking distance that has great coffee and delicious cashew milk which we enjoyed hot and cold (try both!)

The hotel offers a free two-way airport shuttle service from Waingapu Airport, a 45-minute drive away. The staff at Cemara were incredible. They greeted us with juice and farewelled us with bracelets. They were helpful with any questions, and provided us with a scooter, snorkel and yoga mat upon request. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind - they went above and beyond. The location is fantastic, right on the beach and great swimming at high tide. Snorkelling was only 50m out from the shore and there is a cool waterfall was about 45 minutes (by scooter) down the road. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was well priced and we had a decent breakfast. There was always complimentary bottled water! Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing stay at Cemara.

Really nice place with cute bungalows and two pools right next to an amazing beach. It's a great location with lots to explore in the area. Wifi worked well, staff was very friendly and helpful and good food at the restaurant.

At Villa Redemptorist the rooms have a seating area. The best part of the stay was definitely the staff, Monica to be more precise. She made us feel so welcome. The sheets were clean and smelled well, warm water, beautiful sea views and goof air conditioning and the breakfast was great. We wanted to rent a bike and the staff in 20 min arranged us a great bike and also a driver to bring us to the airport. Thank you again Monica and the other girls for our amazing stay.

A paradise, if you are seeking peace and quiet and are prepared the care you will receive by a well trained staff, with little knowledge of any language other then bahasa indonesia. But that is the charm of the place. A newly appointed general manager Mia, fluent english attentive, warm reception and full of information. The cuisine offering interesting local fare rather well prepared. Highly recommended as a destination along the coast.
