Staff was so helpful with everything you need for your visit to Abu Simbel, as well as your arrival and departure logistics. Wonderful dinner available with great food and service. Location is perfect -- free shuttle from the airport drops you right in front of the hotel; public buses going to Aswan also depart/arrive right in front. Five minute fun tuk-tuk ride to the Abu Simbel temple available at any time and costs only 1 euro/1 usd. Staying overnight is a great option, rather than visiting as an exhausting day trip from Aswan. Hllol Hotel was a lovely experience -- totally recommend!

Just a short walk from the centre of Aswan and the bazaar, Marhaba Palace is a budget-conscious and convenient location for all travellers. This is one of the hidden gems of Aswan. To be honest the pictures don't do justice to the hotel. We got a river view room and it had one of the most picturesque views of the Nile and Aswan. The staff was very helpful, and right from checking in to checking out we had such a pleasant experience. The reception can also help with local tours and taxis. The location of the hotel is also ideal and you have access to most facilities nearby (railway station, busses or boats). They even packed us breakfast when we planned leaving early for other destinations in and around Aswan. This was one of the best experiences we had in Egypt.
