Some other travellers mentioned it was far from the center but it wasn’t an issue for me, I walked every day and it was about 35 minutes along the beach. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and have a great night’s sleep while being close to Puerto Viejo.

The house is about 10 minutes walk from the beach and a grocery store. 30 minutes walk from Puerto viejo so close enough to walk but far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet if needed. Highly recommend:)

These Puerto Viejo El Nido Jungle Lodge bungalows are 200 metres from the Playa Chiquita and include access to an outdoor pool and free WiFi. Gandoca Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge is 5.3 km away. The property was beautiful and nicely laid out. Loved the many animals, agouti, monkeys, roosters and birds. Loved waking up to the howler monkeys every morning. Great little pool that my granddaughter and I spent hours in. Ocean and beautiful beach just a short 4 minute walk away which we also throughly enjoyed. Yummy breakfast served on our porch every morning. Staff all amazing, friendly and helpful. Wonderful Italian restaurant on premises, one night we ate there and the next night we picked up and enjoyed in our bungalow. Lots of great restaurants in the area as well. Lots of great things to do in the area. We went to Caribean’s Chocolate Tour and it was amazing and we learned so much and got to sample lots of yummy chocolate.
