Very old fashioned but well maintained hotel. Providing stylish 100-year-old coffee-shop-like environments. The hot springs are enjoyable. They even provided some breads and coffee in the morning. We took a walk to the hot spring streets, shrine, and library, which were lovely places to visit and not far from the hotel.

A unique hotel with excellent service and ammenities. The foyer & shared spaces were charming and we appreciated the warm, friendly welcome from the hotel staff who provided a welcome drink and offered to make us dinner reservations as we checked in. We were escorted to our room, which was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view. We were so impressed with the complimentary cookies which had absolutely beautiful Arita porcelain designs. The location was good for visiting all the sights in Saga that we wanted to see and the parking onsite for guests was handy.

Very nice ryokan. In addition to the two indoor public baths, there was a shuttle bus to an outdoor onsen 10 minutes away that was just fantastic, in the woods and on a small river. The room was very nice, the dinner was a fantastic kaiseki and also the breakfast was excellent.
