An absolutely stunning experience! All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and enthusiastic, behaving like hosts welcoming distinguished guests. Even though we could only communicate in English with difficulty, they made great efforts to overcome this barrier and were incredibly patient.The dining experience at the hotel was fantastic, with flavors and dishes that were truly impressive. Every guest dines in a private room.The inn is built around a pond and gardens, a two-story wooden structure that is also very quiet. The rooms include a living room, bedroom, bathroom, shower room, and a balcony—plenty of space even for a family of four without feeling crowded.The hotel also provides shuttle service to and from Shimoda. Despite the language barrier, the driver was very patient with family members who were unexpectedly delayed and couldn't arrive on time.

We love the room and the garden with onsen very much. There is a special thing we notice during our stay - it is so elegant to have toilot paper with beautiful lace patterns in the room. I can see that the staffs prepared the stay with care.

Takashi and family run a wonderful hotel, everybody was so polite and friendly. Each room is slightly different, I stayed in Asuka which had a classic nautical vibe which I loved. Great views and a delightful outdoor shower/bath. The two spas onsite were a lovely experience at the end of the day. Oh and the breakfast was amazing!

Excellent location directly at the beach, nice onsen. We had a spacious 50qm apartment with in-Room dinner and breakfast. And that was an amazing experience. So delicious!

Let me say from the outset, this property is getting on but for us, that was part of the charm. The staff were lovely, very helpful & nice We loved our room & the amazing view, out to the bay. The balcony was great, room was huge, onsen was the icing on the cake. Indoor & outdoor baths! Just wonderful & restful after a week in Tokyo. The walk from the station was a bit of a hike but we enjoyed it, getting a good look around. On check out though, the staff rang a taxi for us to head back to the station. Fare was reasonable, quick ride back. The food at dinner & breakfast was plentiful, lots of variety, tasty. We loved it and it saved thinking about heading out to find meals. We loved wearing our yukatas to dinner! Plenty of drink options, including beer, saki etc. The electric bikes were brilliant. In 3 hours of free hire, we had a huge time sightseeing! This was an excellent facility. Sure, there's some peeling paint, some wear & tear, but it is an older property & for us, it was a delightful stay made even better with a lovely team at the front desk. All in all, we thought it was great value for what we paid.

It was very nice and traditionally Japanese. I had a big room for myself and could use the Onsen. It was amazing.

The cozy atmosphere of the japanese style ryokan. The onsen is huge. The decoration is beautiful. The bed is fluffy for a good sleep. I slept straight 12 hours
