I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Dolty Kato Nubian House. Located at the very heart of the Nubian village, this hotel has exceeded my expectations by all metrics. The staff was very attentive to my needs (special shout-out to Ms. Somaya at the reception and Mr. Sameer the manager) and was reachable 7/24. If you want a tour to Abu Simbel, or an authentic massage, or a boat trip, they will arrange it for you in a few minutes. The view from the rooms are amazing, they are right on the Nile. To sip my morning coffee while watching the boats on the Nile was a great experience. The food they serve was also quite authentic (Nubian cuisine) and tasty. Overall, it was worth the every penny I spent there.

Since I discovered this hotel nearly 20 years ago, I have stayed here on numerous occasions, and I simply love it more each time! It has everything I wish for in a hotel: perfect location, clean and comfortable rooms, good food, lovely grounds, and, not least, the most wonderful staff! They really go out of their way to help you with any problem you might have, they are invariably friendly and warm and make you feel so appreciated and welcome. On this last occasion, when I unexpectedly found myself in a situation where I really needed help, I had three "special angels": guest relation Reham, and managers Mohammed Youssuf and Elagia. A huge "Thank you" to all of you!

Location Location Location. Staff first class. Cleanliness first class. Menu not 5 star but who's counting when everything else is so good. The hotel is very reasonably priced and although it's new and there are a few minor snags, like the hair drier not working and still a bit of tidying up to be done around the hotel: I have absolutely no problem in recommending this hotel with magnificent views up and down the Nile. Not sure but there may be a few of the rooms that do not face onto the Nile. If a room with a view isn't your thing then that's OK. The open air dining area is on the roof and we did wear a jumper at times when the breeze was high either in the morning or evening but in early January this isn't unexpected. All things considered, myself and my wife (both pension age) feel Blessed to have chosen this hotel and have the pleasure of being looked after by such attentive staff.

The staffis great, we had an amazing time, even though we had a kind of "once in a lifetime special event" the whole staff took special care of it and made our stay beyond amazing. We definitely will not forget Sarah very soon. That Nubian drum we will be playing for a while, it has an amazing sound.
