Arenal Observatory Lodge was highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Location and facilities are simply amazing. We didn’t expect to lay on our beds and watch volcano and toucans perched on the trees right by our windows! Staff is wonderful. Luis was our driver who picked us up in San Jose and told us a lot about area, tours and facilities during our ride. He was attentive and caring. He also delivered sunglasses we forgot in the shop in La Fortuna, was very kind of him. Carlos from reception helped us to receive our luggage which was delayed by airline. He informed us when luggage finally arrived. Trails are in very good conditions and have protection from rain every km or so. Trails were easy or moderate, so even my mum who is 64 coped with them and truly enjoyed it. Food in the restaurant is very tasty and well presented. Thanks to everyone in the Lodge who made our stay unforgettable!

Location, staff and all facilities are really great. We were on our honeymoon and they upgraded us to our own lodge. Pool was nice, hike was really cool and the food was really delicious. We also saw a baby sloth just metres away from the reception which they showed us uppn arrival. All in all a visit worth remembering, thanks again!

The breakfast was fantastic. Luis, Olga and Luisa went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed every meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was healthy and tasty. Really loved the freshly made juices every morning! The housekeeping staff of Jacqueline and her colleague were amazing. Quietly efficient, and professional. They provided Great Service. They even returned money that they found in our laundry. We will return for sure!!! This is an amazing spot in a beautiful location!

Fantastic location—close to the city center yet free from noise and traffic. The views of the volcano from both the room and the hotel are spectacular. We loved having our own private pool! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with booking tours and ensuring we had the best experiences. Although there's no on-site restaurant, the staff recommended excellent nearby dining options. Highly recommend for anyone visiting La Fortuna! I will definitely go back :)

The location was very good, 20 min drive from Mistico park and 10 min drive from the city center. The view is amazing, you can see the vulcano from your bed. Lots of trees around the bungalow, we could watch the birds right from our porch. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Fantastic location in central La Fortuna. A couple of blocks from everything. Clean room with adequate bathroom with a good shower. Air con. Fantastic buffet style breakfast. Nice pool is a bonus. Great value for money. We stayed in some nice budget places in Costa Rica and this was possibly the best value
