The staff were all extremely welcoming and quite simply, lovely. My daughter of 4, who doesn't speak a word of German, said one of the waitresses/hosts was now her 'best friend,' and she was sad to leave. Really absolute A+ service throughout, always a smile. The breakfast was terrific as well. Delicious cappuccino and a broad selection of everything. Bread, croissants (laugen, even!), yoghurt, pastries and cake. My daughter went to the buffet four times; we've never seen her enjoy breakfast as much as here. Oh, and the fresh orange juice was delicious, too.

The layout of the room was very practical, and the recently renovated facilities felt brand new. The hotel is lovely and in an amazing location. The lake boats stop is just next to the hotel and the train up to Mount Rigi is less than a minutes walk away. The staff were very helpful both in the hotel and at the tourist office next to the train stop. The views over the lake are stunning. The hotel provide a visitor pass for your stay, which includes free transport around Lake Lucene.
