New to Best Western so I was expecting bland and basic but this one was so stylish and welcoming. Really nice lobby and exceptional staff. Small elevator that only comes when you tap your card, safety is top notch. Hassle-free valet parking, $20/night off-season. I had a room on the other side away from Johnson Street so it was very quiet. The best was the bed! Floors 6 and 7 just got new mattresses that are so comfortable, more on the softer side which is what I prefer. I slept so well. My 1 king unit was very spacious with a small kitchen and nice sitting area. I go to Victoria often and have felt ripped off paying more for ugly or dysfunctional rooms, this one I think will be my go-to from now on. Great value, great location, easy everything. Good breakfast and lunch place next door called Ruby's. The front desk clerk was more than happy to keep my luggage after I checked out so I could have brunch with a friend. I tell you, the staff are so pleasant and professional, many of them young.

We love to stay in boutique properties with character so Pendray Inn was perfect for us. There is no lift so if you have a difficulties with stairs this may not be right for you. Loved the location and the view. Breakfast was so delicate, loved the bite size offerings with the fine china teapots
