We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

Situated in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, Cradle Boutique Hotel offers panoramic views of the highveld and surrounding valleys. The entire experience was amazing. My parents were blown away.

Absolutely lovely place, close to the airport (15min drive, you even get picked up by a super friendly driver - the whole process is really uncomplicated, communication via WhatsApp) and therefore ideal for a stopover. Spacious, comfortable, super clean, quiet location, nice garden / pool area, opportunity to go for a walk around the Korsman Conservancy. Staff goes out of their way to make you enjoy every moment of your stay. I also need to comment on the food. After a nice little lunch snack when we arrived, we decided to also have dinner in the hotel and it was hands down the best meal we have had during our whole trip... taste, presentation, all outstanding.
