We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

Located across the Menlyn Shopping Centre in Pretoria, Menlyn Boutique Hotel features an outdoor pool, a casual-dining restaurant, massage spa and conference facilities. The centre of Pretoria is a 15-minute drive away. The staff were absolutely lovely - nothing was too much trouble for them and it made us feel very welcome. The rooms were beautiful with great attention to detail.

The guest house also provides an infinity pool and spa facilities for guests to relax in. Guests can also relax in the garden. Accommodated my request to check in quite late. Brilliant customer service and many thanks to the staff for staying late for us.

I was looking for a nature experience in nice surroundings close to the airport and was not disappointed. The hotel is just gorgeous - beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished to a high standard. The fountain by the swimming pool in the inner courtyard gives a haven-like feel. Super-comfortable king size bed, delicious dinner and breakfast, a wonderful view of the nature reserve lake, delightful staff. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed over the years. I will be back and will make sure to stay longer next time.
