We had a balcony overlooking the pool and the river. The pool is gorgeous and we enjoyed a few swims. Drinks, breakfast, one complimentary afternoon tea and dinner at the restaurant were all fantastic. The resort organised a day tour for us which we loved. It was a long day though with a bit of walking but we enjoyed experiencing Hellfire Pass and getting to see the countryside. The staff in reception had excellent English which made communication easy. Worth every cent and I highly recommend this property.

Breakfast had plenty of variety, and the staff were genuinely lovely and always ready to help. The massages were amazing too — exactly what we needed. Honestly, we couldn’t have wished for anything better. Highly recommended!

Pung-Waan Resort & Spa is only 2 km from the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. Bangkok is 150 km away and parking at the resort is free. We traveled in low season, and the hotel was almost empty. So the waterpool was fully for us!
