The building is modern, all the appliances are new. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed is very comfortable, we slept very well - the curtains fully block the light, there was no sound coming from the outside or from the neighboring rooms - obviously, the owner invested a lot to noise isolation. We stayed there in December when it was quite cold in Lisbon, but it was comfortably warm inside. The hotel also has a heated swimming pool and a gym but unfortunately we didn't try those. Will definitely stay here for our next visits to Lisbon.

Its not in an overtly touristy area but has several retails establishments nearby (Zara, Massimo, supermarkets, etc), and is a quick ride to the historic centre of Lisbon (8 euros by Uber). The hotel has both an indoor and an outdoor pool.

Áurea Museum by Eurostars Hotel Company is a unique 5-star property situated on the banks of the Tagus River, in a historic building in Lisbon's iconic Alfama quarter. The hotel features a permanent archaeological exhibition, as well as modern facilities, like an indoor pool, restaurant, massage room and Turkish bath. This is the third year in a row that I visit this hotel.. It is clean, the staff is really friendly, breakfast is excellent but last two years was a bit more various. Which is not a big deal as it is really nice breakfast. Also last two years I did get two complementary bottles every day but they changed the policy now. But after telling that to the staff, they proceed giving me two complementary bottles every day and as a gift a bottle of champagne and a plate of fruits! So nice of them! Position is great for exploring the city. I'll be coming again for sure.

In the range of rooms available, there are 3 exclusive royal suites and 2 superior suites with views over the Tagus River or over the old town. This is not jus a place to sleep it is an unbelievable experience. It is like you are traveling back in time. The piano and violin playing at breakfast, the fado dinners, the wine cellar with cheese and olives plants for free for the hotel guests, and wine directly from the barrel. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like home. I was lucky to have an early tour by Marcio who showed me all the wonders of the hotel.

The concierge, yasoja Ekanayaje was extremely helpful and always there every day to answer any query we had and on the evenings , he checked with us to know how our day went. He is a very valuable person to the hotel, such care and a friendly happy personaluty, he made us feel very special and welcome there. All the staff were very friendly , and helpful , our cleaner greeted us every morning too , the reception staff were also very pleasant and the breakfast staff were very cheerful and helpful, this hotel has excellent customer care

It also has a Fitness Center with PT programs. We liked that the staff placed new bottles of water in the room every day — and not just any bottles, they were glass ones. We appreciated that the sheets were changed every day, unless we specifically asked them not to. Breakfast was excellent — flawless, really — and the breakfast staff was wonderful.
