From hospitality to food to service. We were upgraded to a suite so the room was spacious and excellent. The hotel design is nice and the breakfast buffet was exceptional. I had one of the best pina coladas in life :) Regarding the service, young people were working and overall we were impressed from everything :) And it is 20min walking from the center

It was a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The room was clean, and the mattress and linen were both of good quality. We loved the balcony which you could stay there enjoying the stunning view of the river with a glass of wine or port.

Just outside the town of Regua lies this beautiful 300year old Quinta, with a lush history that's been beautifully renovated & restored by Helena & her husband who was so kind to pick us up & drop us at Regua station when we arrived & left in his historical army open jeep (they're both so knowledgeable, you really get the local insider's knowledge of the area & the history) Only 9 rooms, and they are all gorgeous, with pretty antique decorations collected by Helena. The library, public areas and the dining room are also wonderfully decorated with antiques & plush furniture. We ate all our meals at the Quinta & it was a perfect way to experience the local cuisine in a farm to table setting - with delicious wines chosen by their Sommelier, Jean. Fell in love with the mini meat.chicken pies that were served on our first day of breakfast, was so sad they didn't reappear on the subsequent mornings but everything was delicious The pool & its views are stunning, I only wish we had stayed in the heat of summer (as its a cold water pool) - end Sept can get a little chilly by late afternoon/early evening. The indoor pool, is more of an indoor area thats heated not the pool itself. We enjoyed walking around their vineyard & meeting their dogs & just relaxing by the pool Only thing I wish the room had, was a little fridge, as we had bought some food to take back to Japan & refrigeration would have helped (but it was fine) Absolutely loved our stay & so glad we decided to stay 3 nights after a friends wedding in neighbouring Pinhao. Great way to relax & recharge

This pace is beautiful. It is very peaceful, the staff are attentive. The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool, Rio Moment's is set in Castelo de Paiva in the Norte Region, 34 km from Porto. Guimarães is 46 km away. This is truly a hidden paradise. The scenery is so green beautiful and calm. You hear the birds, you see birds flying, you hear the river. The swimming pool is amazing. The water was a perfect temperature to refresh without being too cold. This is a perfect getaway from city life. The hosts are so welcoming and eager to help. They encourage guests to ask for what they need and they are extremely accommodating. For instance, we had the privilege to choose our room and during breakfast they asked us if we wanted eggs made in any way we liked.

This property is other level of hospitality. This is maybe the best stay we ever had. Design of rooms is outstanding, every detail is perfect from design, smell or towers, set up, landscape and the most important personnel that is more than friendly and welcoming, very well trained and speaking several foreign languages.

Quinta dos Padres Santos provides elegant rooms and accommodations in refurbished old watermills in Eira Queimada, Tarouca, 11 km from Lamego. A pearl in the heart of Douro Valley. This place is out of the way, but so worth it! Hospitality was amazing. We stayed in the suites that are next to the running stream. We heard it running all night. The spa was cozy after a long day in the rain. Breakfast was a feast. It was off-season, so we were the only guests. From May to October they are generally at a full booking.. I can understand why. Highly recommend!!
