Very nice and friendly staff - they explained all details of arrival in advance, sent me a google maps link and met me near the car entrance with a parking card. It was very easy to find the property and to check in. A great location! Really great. Just 10 min drive from the airport. You live just in a large mall with plenty of restaurants and shops. A good supermarket just a few steps from your room. Walking distance to the seafront promenade. A great place to meet a sunset and to have a dinner by the sea.

Located off the coast of Borneo on Gaya Island, Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa features spacious villas with a private balcony. The resort boasts an outdoor pool and 3 dining options. Free WiFi is accessible from the villas. We had the most amazing stay at Bungaraya! The location is idyllic, the staff are the best, most wonderful people and were fantastic at helping organise a proposal 🥂. It is the ideal place to learn about the conservation efforts and get away from the world. We really liked that we couldn't get wifi in the villa as it made us disconnect and appreciate where we were more but that might not be practical for everyone. The food was delicious and fresh with a mix of local and international flavours. All in all a wonderful place and hopefully we will be back in the future! **Side note - we were lucky enough to stay at the Gayana Marine resort on the other side of the island for a few days and it was equally amazing! Very relaxed vibes, perfect if you want seclusion and watch the marine life 🐟

Didnt take the breakfast in my package. The location is very good as it above Imago. Easy accessible to Grab too. The room is new and clean. the facilities provided are all excellent, A-class facilities like the new kettle as well as the dyson hairdryer. Water was given everyday as well as the pantry refill.

The property is non-smoking and is set 6.8 km from Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village. The staff at this family-run hotel went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was super clean and bathroom spacious and luxurious. We enjoyed a complimentary foot soak which was amazing after having climbed Mt Kinabalu. There is a lift which is convenient for moving luggage up to the room.

The hotel’s Coffee House serves a delightful mix of local and Western cuisine, and the Sunset Terrace offers an unforgettable dining experience against a breathtaking backdrop. They served the fresh breakfast. I was happy to wake up in the morning.

Activities can be arranged at the tour desk on site. The BED was comfortable! The room was huge..the bathroom was enormous. The staff was very attentive. Very friendly Delicious breakfast with tons of choices. The rooftop bar was amazing.

There were two restaurants to choose from, and we dined at both; each offered very good food. Breakfast was particularly impressive, with an awe-inspiring range of options and consistently outstanding service in both venues. The pool was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming each day. A scenic walk down the gorge sits right beside the hotel, adding an unexpected highlight to the location. Overall, the hotel is very well situated—within easy reach of the port and only a reasonable taxi ride from the airport—making it both convenient and enjoyable as a base for exploring the area.
