Quiet when we visited (early December), although I expect it can get very busy during peak hours.

The El Meco Mayan Ruins is 7 miles from the hotel. by all-inclusive, it really was all-inclusive! 24hour room service, with your room cleaned TWICE daily! the resteraunts were amazing, we kept asking ourselves "are we sure this is included?". There are a few things not included, but they make that very well known as you check in - and its not a lot. the staff were lovely - like they loved working there. There was activities hosted by the resort that could be read about on a newspaper released at brekky each morning. We did a cocktail making class, there was SUP yoga and tours to and from the hotel - all free. the best part, we had an afternoon flight, they allowed a late check out at 1pm (at no extra charge) and you still had all-inclusive until you left (for us, at 3pm). So we had the bags behind reception and had coffee, lunch and ice-cream before leaving.

Our room was perfect, very well equipped with a gorgeous view. The staff were extremely responsive and helpful both at reception, at the lower deck and at the restaurant (breakfast and dinner). Food was great, both breakfast and dinner. We loved the complimentary kayaks which we used every morning. We have already recommended this hotel to friends, and we will definitely be back!
