The host upgraded our room to a bigger unit (since our booked room was undergoing renovation). The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was especially clean and spotless. It even had a full bathtub. We enjoyed the resort. Wished we could have stayed longer in the resort. This was the best resort we stayed in our Sri Lanka trip. Thank you for hosting us.

Even though they asked us if we wanted dinner during the afternoon, and we said no, when we arrived, we asked if we could eat, and they served us a wonderful dinner. The food was plentiful and truly excellent. The place is truly beautiful, surrounded by nature. The family who hosted us was very helpful. If we were to return to this area, we would definitely stay here again.

The Sri Lankan curry and Sri Lankan breakfast were incredible and the portion sizes were huge. The added extras were a bonus such as the complimentary 10 minute massage, the welcome drink, afternoon tea and mocktail with dinner. The location was perfect for safari. The staff were so accommodating and friendly!! The attention to detail at this hotel was fabulous, we could not understand how they manage to keep everything so clean and pristine but they do. We both agreed that this is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had!!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. City Elephant is ideally situated for getting to the park, right on the main drag through town. The owners are super friendly. My room was large with a good bed and good AC. The restaurant out by the street looks unassuming, but DO eat there...these guys cook beautifully. I had a rice/curry lunch that was just lovely.

The owner is the best safari guide we could have asked for. We saw so many beautiful animals and he really knew a lot about them. His wife is masterchef and she made the best rice & curry we had in Sri Lanka with so many delicious options. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything you need.
