Probably the best hotel we've been in Sri Lanka out of five hotels. They paid attention to all small details. The room and bathroom was clean, the staff attentive, the breakfast complete and tasty, the views are also quite nice, and honestly the building is super beautiful and modern. They also had everything possible in the minibar and the views from the balcony in the room were amazing. And the beds were super good and comfortable. Honestly a wonderful hotel!

The breakfast offers à la carte, continental or Asian options. I loved the view. Room had private pool overlooking mountains with a breath taking view. Food was delicious. We ordered from hotel restaurant and prices were good. The place is quiet. Staff are very nice and helpful. I loved the outdoor shower with indoor bathroom. Room had ac. Bathroom had hot water. Towels were supplied and clean. Sheets smelled nice and fresh. It was my sister birthday and they prepared a complimentary small cute cake with few balloons. It was nice. They offered inroom breakfast but we had it in restaurant to avoid bugs and ants.

We truly enjoyed our time surrounded by such natural beauty, making it a perfect escape for relaxation.

The location is absolutely stunning—set among lush tea plantations and forested hills, it’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The double room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food throughout our stay was excellent, with a great mix of local and international dishes. The value for money here is exceptional, especially considering the level of service and quality of the facilities. The staff were a major highlight. The front desk team were warm, professional, and very helpful. A special mention to Wasantha at the restaurant—he was incredibly kind and accommodating, making each meal feel like a personalized experience. The only small downside is that the resort is located about 45 minutes by tuk tuk from Kandy city center, which can make getting back and forth a bit of a trip. That said, the peaceful setting more than makes up for the distance. We highly recommend Simpson’s Forest to anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a scenic, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely love to return!

Guests can relax in the garden at the property. We absolutely loved our experience at Kandy Dreamscape Homestay. Mahesh and his family were excellent hosts and very welcoming. The room was great value for money, room is on the top floor and you also get access to a lounge area. Wi-fi worked well. Highly recommend having dinner there, we loved seeing how traditional rice and curry is made at home and was a highlight of our experience in Sri Lanka. Great view over Kandy also from the balcony.
