I had a great stay here — the place had everything we needed and made our trip really easy and comfortable. The owner was fantastic to communicate with and answered every question I had right away. He also shared some really good local food recommendations, which we loved. What stood out was how thoughtful he was. He even drove us to the airport himself during heavy rain and bad weather, which was incredibly kind. The location was also convenient — a decent walk or quick tuk tuk ride to the beach, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants within walking distance. There’s also a gym just two buildings down that guests can use for a small fee. Overall, a really positive experience. I’d definitely stay here again!

A good location for a relaxing getaway in Negombo, Ocean Gate Negombo is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the pool. The property features pool with a view, free bikes and parking on-site among other facilities. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen, along with free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. We stayed as a simple overnight between plane transfers and it was just what we needed. Had we not arrived in a cyclone we would have enjoyed the close position to shops, restaurants and the beach and garden/pool. Very kind owner sorting us out with a restaurant and taxis etc

Our room was spacious and very clean; a nice size bathroom with hot water. The rooftop offers beautiful views of the area. Maria Villa is located on a quiet street within walking distance to shops, restaurants and beach. We would stay here again.

Outdoor play equipment is also available at Niwahana Transit City Hotel, while guests can also relax in the garden. The host mr indika was great ... very friendly and even with my delayed flight waited for me very early in the morning. As well as helping me with a phone sim. Loved the spacious room and roof terrace where I had a great breakfast. I would stay again and recommend his place.

Guests can relax near the outdoor fireplace at the bed and breakfast. The B&B is far from the busy and loud city center but close to the beach. The host is extremely kind and helpful - our AC was not working and she found a solution very quick and fixed it right away the next day. We could also park our tuktuk inside the yard and she helped us booking a massage and the ride to the airport with a very good driver! Highly recommend:)
