The ITC is in a great location on the seafront in Colombo. We were stayed 2 nights and were looked after from beginning to end. We were shown to our room by Leena who was wonderful and gave us a quick tour and run down of all the facilities and showed us to our fantastic room. The buffet was extensive, we also ate at the Chinese restaurant which was a very good meal, again with excellent serving staff who looked after us. There are two pools, the steam room was powerful and the gym was really well equipped with loads of cardio equipment, weights and loads of weight lifting machines in a spacious gym overlooking the sea. The bar on the 29th was excellent, the welcome host and staff were really helpful when we went on the evenings of the 5th and 6th December (didn’t catch their names). As we left another host, I think Selna? helped with our cases on the morning of the 7th - everyone was just so helpful - great hotel

Special thanks to Mr Rahul Maini the gen manager at this hotel.. this hotel is immaculate and well managed best place to stay in Colombo. Upon arrival we were met by Mr Emil Gularatnam, special thanks, who was very courteous & professional even taking time to escort us to our room. The room was well manicured nothing to complain about at all. Thanks to the team at the lounge Chef Priyenca, Dilan Nimesha Amandi Yasabi. Many thanks to the restaurant floor 1 team- Mr Shehan & Mr Yehan together with their team- chef Janz, chef Nimisha, Aditya, Sirul, Kavindu & Sangeetha at reception...made our stay special. My son had a bit of upset and was well looked after by the dining area staff thanks Mr Shehan. Our housekeeper was Yohan who made sure our room was always clean and well made day and night. We will return to this hotel🥂🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very nice, spotlessly clean, cosy, had everything that you might need, beds super comfortable, excellent bathroom, wonderful shower. The breakfast was very tasty and filling. Staff was excellent, very kind and helpful. We liked the decoration of the hotel very much and the calmness it provided after a busy day in Colombo. Highly recommended!

Before travelling to Sri Lanka, and before booking my stay with Glenn and Fiona ( and mustn't forget Sita- without whom the stay would would not have been the same), I googled reviews 27 Spathodea's and all were raving how perfect this homestay was. They were all spot on. Glenn and Fiona's home is absolutely beautiful, and even though they were out of the country, Glenn in particular bent over backwards to keep in contact with me, both before and during our stay, to ensure everything was in place, He advised us on so many things that as visitors, we may may have over looked or been unaware of. Sita, their on-site manager was the same, smiling, generous with her time, always amenable to every request. Nothing was ever too much trouble. She even went out of her way to take us to set us up with sim cards, and show us nearest banks etc. She was kindness itself. Her breakfasts and evening meals were as good as any restaurant The location, though close to transport, and shops, was peaceful and quiet. I would 100% recommend this gem of a place to any fellow traveller. The hosts are kind, caring, generous and thoughtful. What more could you want.
