This hotel had everything we needed for a week of total relaxation. The hotel is quite remote, which actually made it easier for us to take full advantage of everything it had to offer. We were so kindly upgraded to the Seed suite which was perfect as we were traveling with young children. The tent was unbelievable. Comfortable and luxurious. The massages are amazing too. The food though, out of this world. I made sure to try something different every day. So fresh! The staff were unbelievably friendly. From Umberto the manager who was a fabulous host, to Jude and the barman who were so kind to our kids. Jude even rode into town to get our 1 year a little dolly to play with. The barman (sorry we forgot his name 😬) spoilt our kids with ice creams and also my husband and I the most unreal cocktails (especially the Icy J&R). We also used the transport which the hotel can provide and it was very comfortable, even for a long drive. I could go on about how amazing this place is, but I think we’ll just have to go back again!

Our stay at Sun Siyam Pasikudah was simply amazing. The staff were incredibly attentive, at times it felt like they intuitively knew what we needed before we even asked. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience unforgettable, though we did notice that communication in english could be improved slightly. The beach is beautiful and peaceful, with great amenities and stunning views. However, due to broken coral in some areas, it's not ideal for swimming right in front of the resort. They do provide sea shoes, which are really helpful. Just a short 100 meter walk along the shore brings you to clearer, safer spots perfect for a dip. The massages at the spa were excellent and the poolside drinks were among the best we've ever had.

The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. We stayed at Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa for 8 nights and were 100% satisfied. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety - spicy local dishes, continental options, lots of seafood, fruits, and yummy desserts. It was easy to find kid-friendly meals, and the restaurant staff were top-notch. Our cottage was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable, with great soundproofing from top neighbors. Housekeeping was fast and flawless special thanks to Thasitha and Viraj for keeping everything spotless. The resort was peaceful and not too crowded. The pool was clean and well-designed for both kids and adults, with a nice bar nearby. The beach was beautiful and perfect for swimming in June. We also loved the kids’ animation. Richie, the animator, kept kids entertained with fun activities, giving parents time to relax. He was friendly, creative, and great to chat with. This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in - clean, cozy, family-friendly, and well-managed. Highly recommended!

It was clean, well maintained and the service was impeccable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The chef cooked new styles of curries for us everyday. The beach is very clean and beautiful.

Beautiful resort with amazing location just by the ocean and amazing beach.The hotel quard was always present by the beach, so we could safely keep our stuff there end enjoying the ocen for hours. I appreciate spacious rooms, fast roomservice, great cleanliness and always helpful staff. The food buffet was excellent. Thank you and looking forward to our next stay here. 🙂

Just an absolute tropical dream. The hotel is very beautiful and feels very relaxed to be in. The spaces are thoughtful and there are lots of places to lounge and relax so you feel like you are on a private retreat even with other guests. Our favourite part was the loungers under big beautiful native trees on the beach. They are tucked under trees but right on the water so you can swim in the ocean and then lay in the shade and drink mango juice 👌 their spot on the beach is also more peaceful and secluded than some of the other resorts. The staff were very generous and kind! We are vegan and their chef catered easily for us. They also just made the most heavenly dishes - their buffets (breakfast and dinner) are 10/10 the food was so good. We can't rate it high enough - it was a surprise favourite stop for us on our trip! Very peaceful and just what we needed.
