Bellwood Manor is immaculately and faultlessly furnished with an excellent staff. Every detail is designed and brilliantly executed. The food is brilliant with an excellent chef. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. It is a sheer pleasure to spend time at Bellwood Manor.

Amjud was in touch pre arrival and throughout the stay - and helped with local recommendations. All other staff also provided very personal service. Room was very clean and breakfast/dinner were also nice. Would recommend this property to other travelers.

This hotel feels like a peaceful little slice of paradise, tucked away with stunning views of Adam’s Peak. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. The rooms were spotless and super cozy—you could tell they really cared about making sure guests were comfortable. We spent hours just soaking in the heated pool, and for the more adventurous, the bikes and hiking trails were perfect. What made this place truly unforgettable was the staff , starting from the reception, restaurant to the pool attendant they were superb. Rushanthani and Nadan especially stood out—not just friendly, but genuinely kind and thoughtful. They upgraded our rooms and our meal plan without us asking, which was such a lovely surprise. When it was time to leave, they even packed snacks for our journey—little things like that show how much they care.Honestly, one night just isn’t enough to take everything in and really enjoy all this hotel has to offer. If you can, stay at least two nights—you won’t regret it. I’m already looking forward to coming back one day to this warm, welcoming place and its amazing people. Kudos to the hotel management

The manager and the Chef became our assistants and friends for all the days of our stay. The chef prepares delicious and varied food. They always ask you what you want to eat and they can cook anything. Very clean rooms, beautiful architecture of the building (inside and outside). Just a great view from the window! The view opens onto the mountains and tea plantations, and the loggia has a comfortable place to relax with a table, chairs and swings. The rooms are very spacious! There is a sauna (steam bath), after hiking in the mountains, that's it! The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. We stayed here to make it easier to get to Adam's Peak. The staff made us sandwiches and coffee for the trip, and they were always in touch with us. There's also a cool karaoke music system, and one of the guys found us a guitar and we sang together! There are also board games. We recommend it to everyone!

The blend of historic elegance with modern comfort made our stay unique and memorable. Our room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, offering a high level of comfort. The views from the property were stunning, especially in the early mornings and evenings. A real standout was the food—easily five-star hotel quality, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The highlight of our mornings was enjoying breakfast on the veranda, overlooking the serene tea plantation. A truly special experience. We were also very impressed with the service, especially from the manager, Manusanka. He was incredibly helpful, even contacting us before our arrival to offer assistance with transport from the railway station. Throughout our journey, he kept in touch to ensure everything went smoothly and that we were comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the charm of colonial-era Sri Lanka with the comfort of modern hospitality. This place offers a perfect blend of history, tranquility, and top-tier service.
