It was pouring rain the day I arrived, so parked myself at the spa for 3 hours and had by far the best Ayurvedic treatments I had on my entire trip. Overall accommodations and spa were a luxurious experience that didn't break the bank.

Also they arranged for us jeep safari in Minerya national park (as per their advice due to elephant's path) and we saw a lot of those incredible animals. Special thanks to Ravi - family member who speaks very good English and advised us for many things.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at Habarana New Star Homestay, while cycling can be enjoyed nearby. Lasanta and his wife were amazing hosts. Lasanta took us everywhere we needed to go in his tuk tuk, showing us spots we haven’t thought of with his local knowledge all for a good price. He even took us to see the elephants in his tuk tuk to top off our experience with them. Lasantas’ wife made amazing dinners. The best food we had whilst being there and the room is very clean and has a nice style they are very attentive hosts always making sure you are happy. We really recommend this place to anyone.

10 km from Pidurangala Rock in Habarana, Priyavimana resort provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and spa facilities. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We were completely satisfied with everything. We loved the environment with all the greenery and flowers. Since we traveled by car, secure parking was important (falling mangoes and coconuts, animals, etc.), but there was no issue as we could park in their private yard. The breakfast was very delicious and plentiful. :) On request, we were provided with dinner, and if we mentioned what we wanted to eat, that was also arranged (we absolutely love jackfruit curry ;) ). The room was a comfortable size and equipped with air conditioning and hot water. The hosts were very kind and helpful, and since we spent an Advent Sunday there, they helped us prepare the traditional decorations for the occasion. We had many conversations, and they truly did their best to assist us in every way possible. This wasn’t our first time in Sri Lanka, and they perfectly embodied the hospitality, helpfulness, and kindness that the island is known for. Since we spend some time here every year, we’ve found yet another place where we’re sure to return.

Buffet and Asian breakfast options are available at the accommodation. This is my 2nd time here. I like the many large glass windows that offer view of the trees, branches and leaves. It gives a feeling of living in the tree and a sense of peace with the birds tweeting and the occasional chipmunk scampering by. The chef is a good cook and whipped up excellent dishes nicely presented and served by the waiters. Sandun cleans the room well. The bed is comfortable. The whole premises is well-kept. As ususal, the host, Mr. Ajith, was welcoming. The manager Samee was always concerned and asking about the welfare of the guests.

Vegetarian and halal options can also be requested. The staff were super friendly at all times. We really loved the food, breakfast has a big variety of dishes and it was delicious! The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!

The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the accommodation. A quite new beautifull location with a magnificent pool in a quiet area with lot's of birds. The huts are furnished with lovely extras. The shower is an open space. While showering you can see bats cruising during the sundown. The food (dinner and breakfast) in front of the Hut was so delicious and lovely prepared. Thanks to the stuff, we had a wonderful stay!
