Amazing breakfast, I mean, just incredible in diversity and quality (and quantity)! The Masseria is outside Matera, about 4km away, a very quiet and peaceful haven, in a wonderful historic building. Easy access to Matera and the v helpful host provided perfect suggestions for parking. Totally recommend if you like quiet, peace and comfort, yet close to town

The hotel is AMAZING!! For those who love the history, definitely must go here.. they offer you an immersion activity from Ancient Greek era. All rooms are authentic, original.. just like back on the past ancient time. Experiencing become one of Greek citizen with all the traditional food and beverages. They give you all day music concert and explanation of Greek culture heritage. The position was perfect in the heart of old town sassi matera, close to the restaurants, bar and not far from all the point of interest. And the most interesting thing is the ancient bath, so rarely you can find ancient Roman/greek bath in the world but in this hotel you can experience it lively!!! Really recommend for those who love to explore and become travelers! Not as usual tourist that just spend the night to stay and search for comfortable and hope to save money. What I could say more.. one of the Best for boutique hotels and experience!

Perfect hotel! In every aspects! Big and specious room, the design of the hotel is amazing. It was the best decision to choose this cave hotel in the city of caves. The hotel offers delicious breakfast with wide range of selection. Very helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Matera again. From the hotel everything was within a few minutes walking distance.

Property was nestled along Via Florentini, very easy to get to and easy to drive in to load/unload luggage outside of ZTL timings considering its location right in the Sasi area. The check in process was comfortable; Giuseppe gave us a personal tour of the common area which also included some sharing of the history of the place and the town, with some interactive segments. We booked a room for 2 but it was really spacious and had enough beds to fit 4, complete with all basic amenities and more. Will definitely recommend Matera and Piano Piano to our friends visiting south Italy! Thank you for the warm hospitality, Giuseppe and Tiziana!
