The hosts are great, provided us with all the information necessary and good restaurant recommendations in Matera. Masseria is located on top of a hill with great views. The attention to detail to create a historical immersion into the past was incredible. All staff were passionate about history, archaeology, music & were very helpful & friendly. This was a truly unique & unforgettable experience. The underground pool area exceeds expectations looking much larger than the photos & it is such a peaceful escape from the heat.

Although our stay was only one night, we couldn’t have been happier with our experience at the Cenobio. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. From booking us reservations at restaurants to organizing parking for us, the staff made everything extremely stress free! Ask for Betty or Mario! The location couldn’t be better in terms of sight seeing, shopping, restaurants and bars. We will definitely be back and for a longer stay next time!

This is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Matera. Located just off a street with a great selection of restaurants to choose from. The hosts provided snacks, fruit juices and a bottle of wine on arrival which was lovely. It is in the heart of Matera old town so all the places you should visit are only a short walk.
