The Villa Athena Resort has a private entrance to the Valley of the Temples. Hotel is excellent.

Gorgeous hotel with exceptionally pretty decor, garden and pool area. Private beach is well maintained, with places to drink and eat dotted along it. Extremely spacious rooms and internal common areas, food is reasonably priced and of good quality (some of the best I had in Italy). Staff are very helpful and speak great English, happy to assist with arranging taxis or recommending places to visit/eat out if you need assistance.

You can book sessions in the spa which includes a pool with hydromassage, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and sensory shower. A free internet point is available in the lounge and you can sip an apéritif at the Verde Mare bar by the outdoor summer pool. Very friendly staff would 100% go again
