This 4-star hotel has a Championship golf course and is 5 miles from Athlone. All newly reformed rooms at the Glasson Lakehouse have free Wi-Fi, TVs and a room service menu.

On arrival, the welcome from the reception staff was great - very helpful and typical Irish cheeriness. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner was first class and again the staff were delightful. Likewise, breakfast was good with plenty choice.

I received a room upgrade on check in which was entirely unexpected. The staff in the Leisure Center are top notch and both the gym and pool facilities are very clean and well maintained. Please, add a water fountain beside the Sauna! The breakfast service in the restaurant is very efficiently run and well laid out.

Amazing overnight stay at Wineport Lodge for my wife's birthday. Such a unique venue and staff so friendly and helpful. Perfect for a relaxing break. Lovely dinner in the restaurant. Highly recommend the hot tub as well, whatever the weather!
